Laboratory Research
The IHLH community has many basic science research programs in heart, lung and cardiovascular health. Our themes include inflammatory disease of the heart, lung and blood vessels; gene-environment interactions; molecular biology and pathogenesis of viruses of the heart; biomarker development for heart failure and COPD; single gene disorders and linage studies of families and sibling pairs, candidate genes; new and novel techniques for the detection of lung cancer.
