The St. Paul’s Hospital Healthy Heart Program is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals for two awards created in the memory of Jean-Francois Bowden to reflect his dedication to cardiovascular disease prevention and rehabilitation, and the use of information technology.
We are currently accepting proposals for two awards of $2,500 each in the name of Jean-Francois Bowden as follows:
1. For graduate students conducting health research (basic, clinical or population) within the confines of the St. Paul’s Hospital;
2. For PHC employees/students/clinicians who have implemented projects or is researching in the area of IT and medicine.
The application will consist of a cover letter, an updated CV, two reference letters (submitted directly from the referee), a one-page outline of the applicant’s project and a half-page indication of how the project will benefit patients and/or patient management. For the IT award, it is possible this award will be awarded for projects that have recently been completed (ie: within last 2 years) with demonstrated benefit as well as those planned projects.
